After brushing the sky in such a sacred place, nothing will ever be the same.

Inti means “Sun” in both Quechua and Aymara. Short, powerful, and eternal, it is the name chosen for the flagship distance of Andes Jujuy by UTMB. Because here, the mountains reach another dimension: a challenge that crosses ravines, ridgelines, and ancestral villages, taking you into a land where the trail seems to brush the sky.

The adventure begins in the magical village of Tilcara, heading towards the Garganta del Diablo. The course continues past the Paleta del Pintor de Maimará, local farms and wineries, before venturing deep into the mountains via Punta Corral, reaching nearly 4,000 meters above sea level, and descending towards Tunalito.

With almost 3,000 meters of positive elevation already accumulated in your legs, the trail continues towards the opposite ridge and descends to the Purmamarca River. Then come Chalala, the Quebrada de Coquena, and the second major climb towards the El Paso viewpoint. From there, the course reaches Tumbaya and returns along the ridge of the massif before finally descending towards Cerro Los Colorados. The ultimate reward will be crossing the finish line beneath the watchful gaze of Cerro 7 Colores, at the “World’s Most Beautiful Field”, 2,300 meters above sea level.

Chase the Sun. Climb to where the trail ends and the sky begins. Are you ready to make history in Jujuy?
